넵튠, 글로벌 e스포테인먼트 콩두컴퍼니에 95억 투자 진행
글로벌 e스포테인먼트 콩두컴퍼니가 글로벌 모바일 게임 기업 ㈜넵튠(대표 정욱)으로부터 95억원의 투자를 유치했다고 23일 밝혔다.
2017년 2월 배틀그라운드로 유명한 블루홀에 투자하며 그 안목을 증명한 바 있으며, 이번 투자가 넵튠으로서는 e스포츠 산업 분야 첫 투자 사례이다. 넵튠은 콩두컴퍼니가 주력 사업으로 진행하고 있는 구단 사업 및 e스포츠 콘텐츠 제작/IP 사업에 대한 가능성을 높게 평가한 것으로 전해진다.
콩두컴퍼니는 글로벌 e스포테인먼트(e-sportainment) 회사를 지향하며 구단 운영, 게임 크리에이터 매니지먼트, e스포츠/게임 콘텐츠 사업, 리그 개최, e스포츠 교육 사업 등 다양한 e스포츠 관련 사업을 영위하고 있다.
콩두컴퍼니 산하 프로게임단 ‘팀콩두’는 현재 총6개 프로팀, 40여 명의 국내 최다 선수를 보유하고 있다. 올해 초에는 팀콩두 배틀그라운드 프로게임단에 방송인이자 가수인 정준영이 입단해 화제를 모은 바 있다.

‘teamKONGDOO’, a professional game group affiliated with KONGDOO company, currently has the largest number of players in the country, with a total of 6 professional teams and 40 domestic players. Earlier this year, Jung Joon-young, a broadcaster and singer, joined the teamKONGDOO battleground pro-gaming team and draw attention.
